2. Smiles Account

2.1. Each member is allowed only one account. In case of duplicity, one of the accounts will be canceled and respective balance will be transferred to the continuing active account.

 

2.2 The Smiles Program will provide information on the member's account movement online at www.smiles.com.br and via the Smiles Call Center , and can moreover, at its own discretion, use other means for disclosing this information.

 

2.3. To access transactions and information regarding Smiles accounts or request redemption of awards, the Smiles participant must be positively identified. Identification can be made at the website, the Smiles Customer Service Center and VRG Linhas Aéreas stores, designated with the brands GOL or VARIG by electronic validation of the Smiles electronic card number and password or other security procedure. At the stores which have no electronic validation system, the participant must present substantiating identification in the form of original identification documents. The Smiles account PIN code is personal, and each member takes full responsibility for its use, and should not be disclosed to third parties .

 

2.4 The participant must notify the Smiles Program of any change in registration information such as address, telephone, identification documents (CPF, Identification registration, passport, official identification from the country of origin), electronic address (e-mail), date of birth, and mother's name and will be held responsible for any information provided. Whenever necessary, the Smiles Program will request documents supporting the change to members'' details.

 

2.5 Smiles will not take responsibility for loss or delay of correspondence.

 

2.6 Members' accounts that do not accumulate miles within a period of twelve (12) consecutive months will be deemed inactive and members will stop receiving regular Smiles Program correspondence.

 

2.7 Mileage will not in any event be transferred between different member Smiles accounts. Transference of miles from other programs or vice-versa will not be acceptable either.

 

2.8 Members' accounts that do not accumulate miles within a period of twenty-four (24) consecutive months will be deactivated. In case of future trips, members will have to call the Smiles Call Center to have their account re-activated, and it will not be necessary to re-register.
