Note: When issuing tickets to or with connecting flights in the United States, visa number and accommodation address will be required, as country entrance procedure. Please keep them on hand
to facilitate the service.
One Way Rules:
1. The awards table above will be applicable only when the trip involves the Smiles Program’s Airline Partners. Airline Partner flights may be combined only with VRG Linhas Aereas flights on One Way Smiles tickets. In case the combination of more than one airline partner is made necessary for the fulfillment of trip, tickets must be issued separately, respecting the rules set out in these Rules.
2. The destinations table above includes countries belonging to the areas. Ticketing for One Way Smiles tickets for a given country should be consulted through the Smiles Customer Service Center.
3. To issue One Way Smiles Ticket for an Airline Partner involving different class parameters from the One Way Awards Table, the award will be charged based on the highest value in miles.
4. One Way Smiles Tickets for Airline Partners will be per route, and may be for 2 (two) routes when it is possible to apply intermediate stops (Stopover²).
5. The One Way Smiles Ticket for Airline Partners table is applicable to all flights operated by such airlines, with the exception of codeshare and charter flights.
6. There are no blackout dates for One Way Smiles Tickets for Airline Partners and they may be modified, suspended or introduced at the discretion of these companies without prior notice.
7. One (1) Stopover1 will be allowed within the destination region, as long as it is not a purely domestic flight within any country or when the trip involves only countries in Europe.
Connections in the same city will not be permitted more than once on the same trip.
8. It is not permitted to issue tickets that involve the same city more than once (even if it is for different airports) in one direction of the itinerary (side trip). A separate ticket must be issued for the side trip.
9. Backtracking is not permitted. Connection points must be on direct routes.
10. A maximum of 3 (three) connections are allowed.
11. Date change and/our rerouting for trips with the same award value
When a physical ticket is involved, no changes will be permitted. In case of an unused electronic ticket, date change and/or rerouting will be permitted within the validity period of the ticket and up to 6 (six) hours before the commencement of the trip, through the Smiles Customer Service Center by the solicitant Smiles member, who must be positively identified through electronic validation of Smiles card number and password and have a confirmed reservation in the specified class and provide payment of administrative fee applicable at the time. The validity of the updated One Way Smiles ticket will be the same as the original ticket. Information on the value of the administrative fee for date change and/or rerouting may be obtained from the Smiles Customer Service Center.
12.1 Date change and/or rerouting for routes with different award parameters, with greater or lesser values in miles:
When a physical ticket is involved, no changes will be permitted. For cases of unused electronic ticket within its validity period, change is allowed. Members shall request a refund (see item 11) through the Smiles Customer Service Center and issue another award on the Smiles website, Smiles Customer Service Center or in person at VRG Linhas Aereas stores, identified by the GOL and VARIG brand (see items 6.4.1 and 6.4.2).
13. Refund:
It is permitted within the validity period of the ticket through the Smiles Service Center by the solicitant Smiles member, who must be positively identified through electronic validation of Smiles card number and password and provide payment of administrative fee applicable at the time. Only the valid miles will be reinstated to member’s account. Information on the validity of miles and administrative fee for refunds may be obtained through the Smiles Customer Service Center.
14. The One Way Awards Table is divided by regions (the award is calculated according to the areas, between origin and destination).
Stopover ¹: occurs when there is an intermediate stop between flight origin and destination.
Round Trip Rules
1. The awards table above will be applicable only when the trip involves the Smiles Program’s Airline Partners. Airline Partner flights may be combined only with VRG Linhas Aereas flights on the same Round Trip Smiles tickets. In case the combination of more than one airline partner is made necessary for the fulfillment of trip, tickets must be issued separately, respecting the rules set out in these Rules.
2. The destinations table above includes countries belonging to the areas. Ticketing for Round Trip Smiles tickets for a given country should be consulted through the Smiles Customer Service Center.
3. To issue Smiles Round Trip Ticket for an Airline Partner involving different parameters from the Round Trip Awards Table (areas and classes), the award will be charged based on the highest value in miles.
4. Round Trip Tickets Smiles for Airline Partners should be issued with up to four (4) routes and can be roundtrip or any type of Open Jaw1 (Single or Double). Tickets with 4 (four) routes can only issued when it is possible to apply intermediate stops (Stopover²).
5. The table for Smiles Round Trip Tickets for Airline Partners on Airline Partner flights is applicable to all flights operated by such airlines, with the exception of Codeshare and Charter flights.
6. There are no blackout dates for Round Trip Smiles Tickets for Airline Partners on the Smiles Program’s Airline Partner flights and they may be modified, suspended or introduced at the discretion of these companies without prior notice.
7. Up to two (2) Stopovers² are allowed in the destination region of the trip: One incoming and one outgoing and such stops will not be allowed in purely domestic flights in any country or when the trip involves only countries in Europe.
8. It is not permitted to issue tickets that involve the same city more than once (even if it is for different airports) in one direction of the itinerary (side trip). A separate ticket must be issued for the side trip.

Open Jaw ¹: A trip in which traveler arrives in one city and departs from another. Open Jaw can be:
Single – when a trip starts from city A to city B and returns from city C to city A, in other words, the final destination is the same as the origin.
Double – when trip starts from city A to city B and returns from city C to city D, in other words, the final destination is also different from the origin.
Stopover²: occurs when there is an intermediate stop between flight origin and destination.
